The 2018 edition of the International Easter Youth Camp with Pastor Chris was indeed greater in glory and impact than previous editions, with 233 expectant youth delegates journeying from 150 countries and territories to Johannesburg, South Africa, for an experience of a lifetime.
“I expect the supernatural to become bolder with the Gospel and to have more fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I know I will go back charged to win souls in my nation,” declared Blake from Australia. Jonathan from Madagascar also shared his expectation for the program: I expect to receive more grace and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to change the youth in my nation.”
A Robust Line-Up of Daily Activities
Each day was a new experience to be blessed in fellowship with one another by moments of prayer, worship, intercession, “Get-Acquainted” moments, special music and dance presentations, and thought-provoking talk shows, featuring heartfelt expectations and experiences of first-time and returning campers.
The robust line-up of daily activities provided an exceptional and fun-filled camping experience for the youth delegates ranging from the highly anticipated Morning Drill with Pastor Chris, See South Africa Tour, visit to Gold Reef City, Shopping trip to Sandton Mall, The Aerial Cable way, Animal farm to a fantastic boat cruise amidst other activities Country Presentations, Team presentations Talent displays, Games, Sports and selfie moments.
Also in the lineup was a first-of-its-kind experience: the opportunity for the delegates to watch a stirring biography of the man of God, Pastor Chris, which further deepened their desire for a glorious walk in Christ.
Inspiring Moments at Special Programs
A special awards segment held in recognition of the GYLF Regional leaders who contributed immensely to the actualization of the vision of the GYLF around the world during the course of the year.
The campers also had the privilege to witness the miraculous at the first healing service of the Healing School Autumn Session. Sharing his experience, Matt from Guatemala exclaimed: “I’m no longer intimidated by the thought of praying for someone who cannot walk; I can pray and heal such a person, just like Pastor Chris.”
Exclusive Sessions with the Man Of God
The exclusive sessions with the man of God were the climax of the camping experience as the youths received insight and had the revelation of the Word imparted to their spirits. They had the opportunity to ask the man of God pertinent questions, which he lovingly responded to with the wisdom of God. He led the campers through an extraordinary expose on what Jesus came to do, who the Christian is, and the unparalleled role of the Christian in the discrete use of media platforms for the furtherance of the Gospel around the world in these last days.
The
Importance of Our Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
The man of God gave an extensive discourse on the importance of developing a
relationship with the Holy Spirit, stating that it’s more important to pray in
tongues than in our understanding. This is because our positioning in the
Spirit is dependent on the condition of our spirit. He shared on how to develop
a relationship with the Holthe y Spirit through study of the Word and praying
in the Spirit.
He also exhorted the youths on the importance of being conscious of the realm of the spirit. “Walking by faith really means functioning in the sense realm with a consciousness of the realm of the spirit. God wants us to meditate on His Word so that we can have the right thoughts. This is because your thoughts matter in the realm of the spirit; they control your mind and your personality,” he said.

Fire, and Promise at IEYC 2018
Pastor Chris ministered the power of the Spirit to the delegates, imparting
increased grace for an unprecedented harvest of souls in the GYLF, and
equipping the youths for a new level of their walk as ministers of the Gospel.
Sharing her experience at the camp, Pooja from India said, “My experience at the Youth Camp was glorious. Thank you, Pastor Chris, for being a lifter.” Azlan from Uzbekistan, full of the Spirit, declared boldly: “My friends and I were determined to win five thousand souls after the 2017 Easter Youth Camp, and we exceeded it. After this 2018 camp, we will win souls in the hundreds of thousands for Jesus.”
Delegates at the International Easter Youth camp left the final session with the man of God consumed with inspiration from all that they had learned and received, along with the greatest of all; a unique impartation of the Spirit. In the words of the man of God, “The International Easter Youth Camp 2018 was fun, fire, and full of promise!”
