Matthew 13:44 CEV “The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when someone finds treasure hidden in a field and buries it again. A person like that is happy and goes and sells everything in order to buy that field.”
Sometimes, I hear Christians testifying of something great they experienced, but they end it by saying, “God did this for me not because I’m special.” They think they’re being humble by saying that, but that’s not humility.
You’re such a unique and priceless being! If you want to know how valuable you are, simply check out how God describes you in His Word. The Word says, “…You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).
Again, Jesus likened the Kingdom of heaven to a treasure that a man found in the field, and he sold everything he possessed to buy that field. The treasure in the field refers to the Church, to which you belong. Thus, when you think about the price God had to pay for you to be saved, then you’ll understand how valuable you are to Him. 1 Peter 1:19 AMPC) says, “But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot,” so don’t think of yourself as just another speck in the dust of the earth. You’re worth the blood of Jesus Christ! Live every day with the consciousness that you’re special to God!
