John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
The events occurring in the world today prove that the safety and security promised by humans are temporal and can’t be relied upon. But the peace that Jesus brings to you isn’t like that of the world. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
Understand that these aren’t mere words of comfort; they actually describe what belongs to you legally in Christ when you’re born again. This peace is everlasting and beyond human understanding. You have what the governments of the world can’t provide; not even your family and dearest friends can give you lasting peace, happiness, and joy. Only Jesus can give them. That peace is inside you today. It came into you the very moment you gave your life to Christ.
Moreover, you can multiply the peace in you by studying more of God’s Word (2 Peter 1:2). Submit yourself to it, live it from inside out. Refuse to be perturbed by what you hear and see. Don’t let your heart be moved by all that’s going on in the world today because the peace of the Lord Jesus, the Prince of peace, is in your heart. Hallelujah!
